I found DR. Furniture after 3 months of searching for a knowledgeable furniture repairman. They came to my house and quickly diagnosed the problem with my powered theater chair, and made the necessary repairs.
Glenn came out last week and hand stitched several seams that had come undone along the backs of my sofa. I can't even tell where he did the work because it looks like new!
Thank you so much for sending out Mr. Roseman to repair my husband's recliner! He is just the person that a store needs to handle these kinds of issues.

Glenn from Dr. Furniture just repaired the upholstery on our sofa that I had emailed you about. I wanted to let you know that he did a great job and was neat, prompt and cleaned up so carefully because he knew there were young kids in the house and didn't want anything sharp left behind. Wendy was extrememly friendly and helpful on the phone. I wanted to pass along the wonderful service they both provided. The sofa looks perfect!
I just wanted to say thank you again for the service call today to repair my dressers. I don't usually write back to compliment repairmen but I am so impressed I had to let you know. You did a remarkable job! I really can't tell where the damage was. I will definitely keep your number for future use and/or pass it along to friends. Again, thank you so much!!!
I know that my clients are very well taken care of by you the moment I hit the send button on the fax machine!
How refreshing to have a service company show up on time, do the work, and be done before I have a chance to turn around. You are good. Thank you.

A variety of problems can occur with upholstered furniture many of which can be easily corrected right in your home. New life can be brought back to that favorite chair or sofa for much less than the cost to fully reupholster or replace.
Dr. Furniture is expertly skilled in the repair and touch up of wood furniture and wooden furniture frames. Many such problems can be solved without the expense of fully restoring the piece which typically costs hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. Most repairs can be completed on site without having to remove the piece from your home.
All of the repairs we perform are done on-site in the customer’s home or place of business. The repairs we deal with most often result from moving/delivery damage, manufacturing defects, pet damage, accidents and general use and/or abuse. There are certain repairs that require too much time or are not generally conducive to an in home repair. In those instances we will provide a referral to an upholstery shop or a full service refinishing shop.
In general the warranty on new furniture will cover defects in craftsmanship and materials for one year from the date of delivery. This typically covers any parts and labor charges required to make repairs to the damage or defect. These warranties do vary from manufacturer to manufacturer so be sure to inquire with the retailer or go to the manufacturer’s website to get complete details before making a purchase.
Yes. We guarantee our workmanship for one year from the date of service.
No. Other than minor spot removal we do not offer furniture cleaning or maintenance services.
Most of these programs are designed to protect against accidental damage and do not extend the original manufacturer’s warranty. These programs are often a good idea if there are young children or pets in the home. Be sure to read and understand the literature that comes with the purchase of such a program. It should clearly state what the plan covers and, more importantly, what it does not cover.
If possible it is best to inspect your new furniture as best you can as soon as it is delivered. If this can be done before the delivery team leaves that is best as you can note it on the paperwork that you will be asked to sign. Take pictures of the damage and ask the delivery team to do the same. Call the retailer to report the damage as soon as you can to arrange for a service visit to assess the situation and determine what steps need to be taken to make repairs.
Our clients include individual consumers, moving companies, furniture manufacturers and many local retailers (see the scroll at the bottom of this page).
You should expect your seat cushions to soften 15-20% during the first few months of use. Once they reach this state the amount of further softening is marginal. It is important to flip and rotate your cushions regularly.
